Meeting Agenda:

Hello, UGH!!

Happy After Father's Day.

We're doing an experiment before this month's regular board meeting to see if we can save some time by advertising our meeting agenda so we can keep our meetings short and relevant. This will allow more time for our post-meeting kanikapila.

Here goes:

1.  Bishop Museum Kanikapila --- Thank you to all of you who contributed to the success of this event. Visitors were impressed and we got high praise from museum staff. Even our membership experienced an increase. Dan, what's the status of donated ukes we were meaning to use? We'd like to try using these at future kanikapila.

2.  Now that we've created some good momentum in our building activities and continue to supplement this with outstanding and very ethnic kanikapila, we've begun putting some effort into creating outstanding live ukulele music. Our goal is to position UGH so people are aware we have the universe's best builders, players and teachers ---- and we bring all these together in community service through our efforts in quality kanikapila.

3.  Festival update --- We're in the process of soliciting sponsors.  Speaking of sponsorship, you can help.  Will you???? We've applied for two grants and have been notified of non-selection by one. It was an OHA grant we missed with them last year as well.  We're in good financial shape. We're wanting to get all biographical information from festival displayers by July 1st so we can put a good effort into designing and printing our festival booklet.

OK, that's it this time around.  Bring your questions to the meeting ---- see you then!!!!

Aloha,

UGH Board
